Description
The U.S. Forest Service recommends Wild & Scenic protection of upper Piru Creek, one of the longest unprotected, free-flowing streams remaining in southern California. The Chumash Tribe lived along Piru Creek for thousands of years, leaving cultural sites of national importance. The creek also offers outstanding wildlife and geological values.
